Martin Luther King, Jr.

"I Have a Dream"

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of "interposition" and "nullification" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with.

With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith, we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

But here in Malaysia,

Khir Toyo and UMNO also had a dream.

"My dream is that one day, we will see Abdullah, (former premier) Dr Mahathir Mohamad, (deputy premier) Najib Abdul Razak, (PAS spiritual leader) Nik Aziz Nik Mat, (Anwar's wife and PKR president) Dr Wan Azizah (Wan Ismail) and (PAS president) Abdul Hadi Awang seated at the same table.

"My dream is to see that the Malays once again become the backbone which will stabilise the politics in the country," he added.

"As long as Anwar is important in Pakatan Rakyat, the muzakarah will not succeed. Anwar does not want to see Malays unite and that is why he formed Pakatan that thrives on the ideals of equality to the extent of elevating other religions on the same par as the primary religion in this country, Islam," he added.

-----------------------------------------------------------

The rise of the politics of fear has become central to UMNO desperado agenda. In order to ensure and maintain in power, UMNO administration turned to fear to manipulate the public especially malays. But now after more than 50 years of Merdeka, the Malays still lives on his own land of poverty. They in UMNO are the one who robbed from the Malays.Shares in company, construction projects, timbers, taxi permits and many more had been taken away by them.

My advice to Dr.Khir and UMNO,do not become a Malay supremacist. Why now they want to talk about Malays unity after they had lose badly in the last General Election? They know that they are irrelevant because people want to change.Instead of hearing to the people’s voice, they are still stubborn, arrogant and greedy of power . They will do what ever it takes in order to secure their position. When they were strong before, they never talked about unity among Malays and treated PAS as their enemy no 1.

Now, they want to use PAS to gain more Malay supporters back by offering them various ministerial post in cabinet, MB in 6 states and also top positions in GLC. I am very disappointed with some veteran leaders of PAS mostly from Terengganu, who interested more in power and money rather than uphold their principal that they hold before. But,I am glad some leaders in PAS have shown maturity in rejecting Umno especially the spiritual leader of PAS and their chief youth.I hope those PAS representatives who are eagerly in joining UMNO will realize that people vote for them in the last General election to make changes in Malaysia. They want to see improvement in administration of government, which are free from corruptions, good economy governance and system of justice which are independent and not bias.By joining them, people will not trust in you anymore and if you fail to maintain your performance in the next election, UMNO will kick you out as you do not give any benefit to them anymore.
